same here on windows vista, I've tried the working Demo from the Audio Data API documentation page, they are all working good. I'll try to find out what's going wrong...

Hi guys,
The Firefox people are changing the API pretty fast. Right now I am making it work against the latest experimental build (13a) which isn't available anywhere for public download yet. I'll let you know as soon as there's a public facing build which WebPd works against.
I am focusing on dsp~ objects first in an effort to make the library usable as quickly as possible. The idea is that people can make dsp~ chains in Pd and then put them on the web and make a javascript/processing.js front-end to control them. So far I have [osc~], [*~], [+~], [phasor~] and [dac~] working, which is 5 out of 73 (not very many!). Any help is very welcome!
Chris.
PS my ultimate dream is netpd style remote collaborative jamming on the web.

[osc~] uses cos() instead of sin(), it's table-accelerated, and it has a right-inlet that sets the phase.
[phasor~] has a right inlet too.
can you make a firefox plugin for loading pd externals in javascript ?

Sorry for this lame question, but how do i install the audio API? I downloaded the windows archive but i can't seem to make it work. Do i need to re-install Firefox?
When i get this to work, will i be able to run any patch from Firefox? I don't really get it i think...

As of a few hours ago, the current version online only works with a
build which is not publically available yet, sorry about that. I'll
post again when there is a Firefox available which runs it (they tell
me it should be soon).

You will be able to run a very tiny subset of possible patches in
Firefox. Namely those which only use dsp connections between the five
tilde objects mentioned. Two things could happen which will make this
more interesting:
I think the chance of the former is really very likely, and there will
be flash based wrappers for browsers which are left behind (there is a
rough one taking shape already).
The chance of the latter is unknown. I am hoping people will be
excited by the idea of running patches in the browser and start
contributing dsp objects. If you're interested, they are really very
easy to code right now, and there are only 68 unimplemented tilde
objects. :) Probably I will keep plodding away on my own even if
nobody else contributes, because I like Pd and I want to make some fun
audio stuff on the web.
Thanks for you interest.
Chris.

Hi Pierre,
The Firefox builds from this URL http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/tryserver-builds/david.humphrey@senecac.on.ca-c0d0827d0ec0/ work at the moment on the Pd patches at this url http://mccormick.cx/dev/webpd/tests. Download and unpack the experimental firefox into it's own folder. Don't forget to exit any running Firefox's completely before starting the experimental Firefox up.
Chris.
