I've just installed pd on slackware. Everything seems to go right - no error outputs at startup - but when I try to open an example I can see just a blank window, and if I try to create an object pd quits and shows this message:
Consistency check failed: glist_findrtext Segmentation fault
Does anybody know what it means? Thank you. Dario

i think this is the problem that came up before regarding tcl/tk 8.4. you need to compile against 8.3.
did you compile yourself or is there a slackware binary package floating around that uses the wrong tk?

i've got the problem after upgrading from suse 8.1 to 8.2. no pd version seems to work. suse's binary, my binary 0.36 and 0.37-test4 all produce secmentation faults :-(
it seems that suse didn't check the binary if they work on their systems...

Ok, I've installed tcl/tk 8.3 and recompiled pd. Thank you Pix! Dario
