Ok I have looked through the archives because I know I have seen this before but I cannot find an answer, whenever I try to open a subpatch pd crashes. That includes the subpatch in all the example patches. It was not happening yesterday on any of the computers in the studio and now it crashes on all but 1 of the 10 pc's we run pd on? Help!

could you please specify your settings ? which system ? which libraries ? which pd-version ?

I'm running Windows 95, pd 0.34, downloaded 3 weeks ago, I also run gem, not sure what you mean about settings? The system is a Pentium III with 128ram, never had a problem with pd before? 1 of the computer here which is still fine is not networked directly to the other computers? Could htat have something to do with it? Luckily I can still run everything allright at home so it's not the most urgent thing but it does look serious, thanks again!

do you, by chance, run GemPlus ?? there is a bug somewhere, which i haven't yet figured out, that crashes pd when opening subpatches. (btw: this would be the behaviour that was reported on the list some weeks/months ago)

No I don't run gem plus but I imagine that gem is causing it to crash. I have been using the same version of gem for the last year with an older pd and I have had no problems? Is there something the newer version of pd doesn't like in Gem? By the way I did look in the archive and found this topic but i did not find an answer to the problem, thanks again,
