hi, i just ask myself if it is possible to render bigger tif's than screen resolution? just have made a test with [dimen 4000 3000( and pix_write. the size of the rendered pix is 4000 x 3000, but the gem-pixels are only at the part where gemwin is clashing with my screen. the rest is black.
i think about making c-prints out of some single-buffered gem pixel stuff. so if it's not hi-res (72 dpi) i need big dimensions.
is this possible somehow?
thanks rainer

Both textures and GL drawing contexts have limits on their size. For most cards this is 2048 by 2048. The 'dual DVI' Geforce 6800 that can drive the new 30 inch Apple display apparently has higher limits or else it wouldn't work. I think some of the 'pro' Nvidia cards that can drive the hi-rez IBM display have at least 4096 pixel limits.
