========================= Music Technology Lectureship at the National University of Ireland, Maynooth
The NUIM Music Deparment is seeking a new permanent appointment in the area of Music Technology. The department houses a very active Music Technology Laboratory, with well equipped computer music and sound recording facilities. The Lab runs undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Music Technology, including the highly successful BA Mus Technology introduced in 2005.
Candidates are expected to have expertise on some of the following areas: Film/Multimedia music composition, audio technology/recording, sound design, music cognition and algorithmic composition.
Responsabilities will include lecturing undergraduate and postgraduate courses in music technology and administrative work, as directed by the head of department. The successful candidate is also expected to engage in active research and share the duty of running the Music Technology Laboratory with its current director.
Salary in the lecturer range: (47,832 - 77,539 p.a.) 7 points
