I'd be in.
Oct. 10, you say?
So anyone want to host it? I can always come up with a place, but
somewhere new might be interesting.

I'll have a look around Harlem, and I'll ask around for other locations as well. If I find something, I'll be sure to post to the list.
No leads in Harlem, though I did ask around about Issue Project Room in Brooklyn. Sounds like it would be next to impossible though, as Oct. 10 is a Saturday after all.
Hans, did you mention anything to EyeBeam?
If someone wants to organize a regular meeting at Columbia, I know
people at Teachers' College who would be interested in hosting it.
Since I live in Brooklyn, I couldn't make a monthly meeting all the
way up there. This city is large enough for multiple Pd meetings
after all. Austria has multiple Pd groups, and there are less people
in that whole country than in NYC. :)

I'll help out. Who else should I contact? Is everyone who would be

I am interested in going to Pd mtgs in NYC, in general.
As for uptown, I think there are a number of people at Teachers
College and the Music department who would be interested, but aren't
on this list. Plus maybe there are City College, Fordham, and other
students who live uptown who might be interested.

You are supposed to know that Pd users are not evenly spread out. The change of density is not even continuous: if I just cross a bridge to Laval or Longueuil, poof! no Pd users at all there. Go figure.

Hans, you mentioned that you know people at Teacher's College who would be interested in hosting it. Can you provide me with contact info?

I'd also be interested hanging with some other NYC PD Nerds. Brooklyn is easier for me in general, but I have to go up near Columbia on Fridays to teach an electronics class, so if we're using some space at TC it would be great if it were on a Friday around 7.

Hello, it works using GlovePie > OSC > Pd
check this : http://lists.puredata.info/pipermail/pd-list/2009-08/071744.html
or :
1)Install blueSoleil v6
2)run it and connect the wiimote, plus activate the "HID" service.
2)install glovePie
3)Create a small glovePie script with for instance this line:
sendOsc("localhost",57001,"/wiimote",RemoveUnits(Wiimote.RawAccX)/10,
RemoveUnits(Wiimote.RawAccY)/10,RemoveUnits(Wiimote.RawAccZ)/10,Wiimote.A,Wiimote.B,Wiimote.Up
,Wiimote.Down ,Wiimote.Left , Wiimote.Right,Wiimote.Minus,Wiimote.Plus)
4) then a simple patch with dumpOSC and that it !
Cheers, Damien.
