isn't this mentioned in the documentation ?
anyhow, it is surely in the pd-list archives so i suggest to search them.
right click on a white canvas and select help: this will open 5.reference/0.INTRO.txt which shows all internal objects.
to get all external objects (abtractions, libraries) too, you will need impd.

for some reason or other this doesn't work on the version I have... 0.37.0 for XP, it won't even open txt files and when I try to open one, it gives me an error "no such object The" or whatever the first line in the document is... why would this be?

but you could go and open the txt-file with your favourite notepad.
