hi
I am using the configuration bellow, and every time i create gemwin object, pd immediately crashes with a segmentation fault error that appears only on the terminal.
I tried to reinstall PD and got the same problem, the Pd was installed by synaptic.
Pd version 0.41-4 Gem 0.90
Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala 2.6.31-20-generic i686 GNU/Linux
Thanks a lot Karla
Hi,
I have the same system as you (the only dif is I pacthed it for RT kernel), here's utput of $uname -a: Linux 2.6.31-9-rt #152-Ubuntu SMP PREEMPT RT Thu Oct 15 05:01:14 UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux
I also installed PD from synaptics and seems the same version: $ pd -version Pd version 0.41-4 compiled 00:27:04 Nov 7 2008
Try several things:
<some-level-like-3> and see if you get any more help than just that seg fault.
Best of luck, Pedro

think about using a non-outdated version of Gem. (Gem has very long release cycles; usually it takes more than a year to increment the version number; 0.92 has been out for about a year now)
