¡Hola compadres!
I imported the test run for the Spanish templates into the test wiki,
but it seems no one had a chance to look at it.
http://lists.puredata.info/pipermail/pd-list/2007-10/055452.html
I am going to import the French template into the test wiki now, let
me know and I'll import the spanish template into the test wiki again
so y'all can make sure it's good before it is finally imported into
the Spanish pdpedia.

It looks good!

Hallo,
excuse me, I'm extremely interested but extremely busy, I hope to have free time in next days.
About test templates, all is ok. Only two things, after to see the result:
-I dont like Esbozo (->"template"), perhaps sound well in portugues, but in common castillian we use "plantilla". Example in wikipedia: http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ayuda:Plantillas http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Template_messages
thanks hc.

Well, 'clase del objeto' doesn't sound all that well, but i don't think any translation will sound right, i believe most spanish users combine english words with spanish ones when talking about pd or any programming language.
for example,
my $inlets = "entradas";
If translated back to english it would be 'entrances', so i believe it would be best to have the spanish term as an approximate expression to help in finding a meaning, accompanied with what spanish users would probably use, which is inlet. for example i think someone would say in spanish: 'tienes que conectar el cable al inlet"
If it were possible, i would put the 'english' word in parenthesis right beside the spanish translation, because of what i just said, and also because access to information in spanish is limited and most spanish users have to deal with translating constantly, in many cases, with little english knowledge. pdpedia could actually become a good tool for that.
so....
what i would do is something like:
my $dataType = "tipo de dato (dataType)";
or
my $inlets = "entradas (inlets)";
finally, i must say this is all my own speculation as a spanish user that knows english.
best to all and hope it helps, some comments below and an inclusion of some terms in english that i think could help:
J
# wikipedia terms my $stub = "esbozo(stub)"; // to me it should be 'borrador', but it's probably a localism. my $template = "plantilla (template)"; // i think 'plantilla' is right for template... my $category = "categoría"; my $infobox = "infobox"; my $topLevel = "toplevel"; #
# pdpedia terms my $objectclass = "Clase de objeto (objectclass)";
# page headers my $inlets = "entradas (inlets)"; my $outlets = "salidas (outlets)"; my $arguments = "argumentos"; my $messages = "mensajes";
# infobox my $name = "nombre"; my $description = "descripción"; my $abbreviation = "abreviación"; my $library = "librería"; my $author = "autor"; my $developer = "desarrollador(developer)"; my $releaseVersion = "versión (releaseVersion)"; my $releaseDate = "fecha de la versión (releaseDate)"; my $dependencies = "dependencias"; my $license = "licencia"; my $website = "sitio web"; my $programmingLanguage = "lenguaje de programación"; my $platform = "plataforma"; my $operatingSystem = "sistema operativo"; my $language = "idioma"; my $dataType = "tipo de dato(dataType)"; my $distributions = "distribución"; my $status = "estado (status)";

My mexican roommate Iveth says it's "clase de objeto", no L.
The latter parallels French "classe d'objet(s)" and not "classe de l'objet", which sounds more like the class of a particular object that would have to have been specified before hand, else it makes people think "which object they're talking about?"
