We should keep this on the list since other people besides me can
answer this question, perhaps quicker too, and it might be of general
interest.

Sounds like you are trying to compile the latest CVS version of
Pd. The whole Pd-extended build system is setup around 0.39.2.
Many of the patches that are applied are already included in the
latest CVS version, hence the "reversed (or previously applied)"
errors. If you want to build Pd yourself, stick with 0.39.2. If you want
to try to get the latest CVS version building with Pd-extended, I
don't think anyone's done it yet. That'll happen after a proper
release of 0.39.2 of Pd-extended.ah-ha, rightio. so presumably the CVS versions vaguely correspond
to 0.39.2? in other words, where can i get the source for 0.39.2?
The latest in CVS is 0.40-test(something). You can get older
versions from CVS like this:
cvs checkout -r v0-39-2 pd
Any CVS GUI program will let you check out old version by date or
tag. In this case v0-39-2 is a tag.
