hi all.
the puredata.info portal has undergone a user-migration, in order to make it possible to use the same user/password combination in other (future) services. these may include an svn-repository hosted on puredata.info etc...
however, it seems like this has disabled the passwords for the existing users. in order to use the portal again, please change your password asap, via the following procedure:
go to http://puredata.info/mail_password_form enter your username and click on "start password reset" follow the instructions on the site and check your mailbox for further instructions.

I tried doing this, but after following the link from the auto-generated email, and entering my username/passwords, I got this error message:
<paste> Site error
This site encountered an error trying to fulfill your request. The errors were:
Error Type Duplicate user name for 'kyleklip' Request made at 2006/09/06 17:02:03.067 GMT+2
</paste>
Anyone else having this problem?

hi again.
thanks for all the bug reports.
obviously there were some initial problems with the userdb-backend.
most of them should be fixed by now: please try again
in the course of fixing i was able to restore the original passwords. however, i fear that this means that all passwords reset yesterday have been reverted to the original ones. apologies, apologies...
the double user entries should be fixed (it turned out, that i hadn't been able to delete all 1700 users from the backend (only 500 or so), due to some backend restrictions.
as for the user-search: it seems that it currently only gives results for users that have logged in at least once in the running plone-session (whenever it gets restarted, the cache is purged and set to Nil again); i hope i will be able to fix this.
if you experience anything unusual, please report immediately.
