Hi,
[openpanel] can accept a symbol in order to have it start browsing from a given default location. Why doesn't [savepanel]? Is there another way to accomplish the same with [savepanel]?
Sorry sorry,
Yes it does, I was mistyping the path. Plus, I was expecting it to just "store" the location for a future bang; so the fact that the window popped up with a path other than expected made me think it was treating it as a bang (plus not being documented in the help patch).
There is one crazy thing however: if you send it an invalid path, it seems it starts browsing from the _patch's_ path (or maybe the current path), while when you send it a bang, it starts from the _pd binary_ directory; I guess it would be more logical to start from the same directory (whatever it is) both with bang and with invalid paths....
At least this happens in windows.
