hi, i am trying to compile ggee, and have never used it before (i think there might be a shell object in there that is useful for linux). have tried the pd-externals-20030311.tar.gz and cvs versions.
some details about the machine:
gcc version 3.3.3 (Debian 20040401) athlon xp processor linux 2.6.5 kernel debian
i am getting this with the pd-externals-20030311.tar.gz:
<..snip> control/serialctl.c:264:71: pasting "|=" and "IXOFF" does not give a valid preprocessing token control/serialctl.c:264:71: pasting "~" and "IXOFF" does not give a valid preprocessing token control/serialctl.c:265:73: pasting "|=" and "IMAXBEL" does not give a valid preprocessing token control/serialctl.c:265:73: pasting "~" and "IMAXBEL" does not give a valid preprocessing token make: *** [control/serialctl.o] Error 1
and with the cvs ggee i get:
<snip> gui/button.c: In function `button_vis': gui/button.c:243: error: `t_rtext' undeclared (first use in this function) gui/button.c:243: error: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once gui/button.c:243: error: for each function it appears in.) gui/button.c:243: error: `y' undeclared (first use in this function) gui/button.c:247: error: parse error before ')' token gui/button.c: In function `button_setup': gui/button.c:343: error: invalid use of undefined type `struct _widgetbehavior' gui/button.c:344: error: invalid use of undefined type `struct _widgetbehavior' gui/button.c:345: error: invalid use of undefined type `struct _widgetbehavior' gui/button.c:346: error: invalid use of undefined type `struct _widgetbehavior' gui/button.c:347: error: invalid use of undefined type `struct _widgetbehavior' gui/button.c:348: error: invalid use of undefined type `struct _widgetbehavior' gui/button.c:352: error: invalid use of undefined type `struct _widgetbehavior' gui/button.c: At top level: gui/button.c:262: error: storage size of `button_widgetbehavior' isn't known make: *** [gui/button.o] Error 1
THANKS (in advance)

Why not just: "apt-get install pd-externals"? Or "apt-get --build source pd-externals" if you really want to build on your own? I don't think, the "shell" in the deb is different from the one on CVS.
