Hi there,
sorry if i'm repeating same questions here, but i couldn't find it anywhere searching the list..
i'm trying to playback videos on a Windows Vista machine. when i first place a pix_film object on Pd the console confirms directshow and quicktime support.
i am using gems.movies from pdmtl abstractions, i have used it really well on a ubuntu machine, but on windows it wont play normally.
i am using photo-jpeg encoding for the videos and a 44.1khz wav audio file with same filename for playback.
when i try to go fullscreen it decreases performance a lot and drop frames on the go.
anybody has ever went through a problem like this ? would you tell me which encoder should i use for optimal playback for my files ??
thank you very much for your help... cheers.
ferkrum.
Changing the size of the window points more to OpenGL problems than video codecs. Make sure you have properly functioning OpenGL - Microsoft tried to kill GL on Vista so it is not always installed properly.
