Yea you can use some phasors and a random number generator or two, people do it all the time. Sounds horrible.

the meaning of that ( como unos son un poco espesos aki ) is that it's sad to think that there will be only one pd tutorial registered at www.pd-tutorial.com! that's what will come up on google, and of course this tutorial doesn't cover many things of pd, hem...
it seems to me there were more of them in the user space of the wiki... http://puredata.info/docs/tutorials/ ( at least this one had an s )
but it's a general trend in pd community, hierarchy got in the place.. anarchy? no that's only diversity, sir...
pd : about the college jokes of a D.H., is that the same guy who refuses to document any FLOSS than runs only in Linux? that all should run on Windows? i just don't want to know.

Yves, you could write a tutorial too, instead of giving people on the
list a hard time. Why should anyone write a tutorial the way you want
it? Be punk rock, and do it yourself.

you seem to ignore and/or deny the problem, just have 2 things to tell you :
a/ if there's only one tutorial registered at pd-tutorial.com, why should i waste my time making another one?
b/ i think tutorials are basically producing people making the same kind of music and/or visuals, every library has its own help, why would you need to be guided from A to Z? result would be just another clone, like people learning to play guitar playing beatle's songs... not what i'm interested in,,,

a/ if there's only one tutorial registered at pd-tutorial.com, why should i waste my time making another one?
there's only one tutorial there because the site was made by the author
for the material he made himself. if you don't like it, you can write your
own tutorial/site, such as
"www.theoneandonlyreallyfreepdtutorial-nottobeconfusedwithpd-tutorial.com-whichisn'treallyfreeinthefirstplace.com"
more open tutorial.
or give the author constructive suggestions in the way he can improve his
material.

you mean a clone in the same way it happens when someone reads the
helpfile of any library/object and does exactly what's described in the
helpfile, thus limiting the way he thinks? what would be the difference
then betwen a helpfile and a tutorial? I guess it's the user's choice if
he wants to be a clone or not, not of the material he reads. some people
are quite happy making/being clones, you can't force them to be "free"
(whatever that is).

Seriously Yves, put this energy into making a Pd tutorial in your
style. I've seen you teach Pd and I think you have a good method that
is different than most, and it would be great to see it in a tutorial.
No one will benefit from another flame war... there are many other
domains to be had:
pdtutorial.com pdtutorial.org etc.

Maybe you can think of these kinds of tutorials as a 'gateway drug' to harder Pd usage.
Keep on provoking,
Chris.
