also, AFAIKT, unless you can cleanly map the frequencies in soundA to the frequencies in soundB, you aren't going to get anything much different than a simple crossfade of the sounds. usually, mapping those frequencies requires that you do it by hand.
pretty sure you can do it with fourier transformations...there is lots of stuff in the pd documentation about that.

most common way to "morph" is to crossover from the FFT analysis of one sound to the FFT analysis of another. One way would be to convolve two sounds side by side, and slowly go from multiplying each FFT bin of Sound A by 1 through multiplying it by the FFT of Sound B to multiplying it by zero. And vice versa for Sound B. You could also use the phase vocoder demo in PD as a starting point as well. But I am not aware of any externals that do the job.
