I guess this is relates to a bigger issue on osx but still (10.11.6, deken gem, pd.48.0test2 github built)
pix_film loads with Quicktime support and Darwin support, but as in Pd-0.47-1, it doesn't work well and cpu launches like apollo 13. Same as pix_movie
This is prelim work. It is not finished. It would be nice if there was more than 1 developer using mac (apparently) ...
Pix_multiimage and pix_imageInPlace work great as replacement for the above, as you say here.
pix_video loads and works fine with backend #0='Darwin': darwin dv iidc analog. It also works with a usb macam sony hd eye for ps3.
pix_image crashes with "
pd(26513,0xa32cf000) malloc: *** error for object 0x78e9826c: pointer being freed was not allocated *** set a breakpoint in malloc_error_break to debug
" It didn't on 47-1, so I guess it needs some tuning.
Sounds like useful bugs to report. Maybe add them to the Gem bug reports or on Github?
