i haven't followed the thread, but:
either get OSCx (sourceforge-CVS: /externals/OSCx) or mrpeach's collection of OSC and net externals (you need both!; sourceforge-CVS: /externals/mrpeach/net and /externals/mrpeach/osc)
then compile them (read the docs that come with the sources)
add their paths to your startup script or put the binaries into ..../pd/extra
use!
this should be fairly trivial. i recommend using mrpeach's externals as they are better maintained and OSCx has some nasty bugs...
