Hi there:
Am trying to install Pd (0.37) on fedora core2 at the moment but I got . . . Pd Depends: libtcl8.3.so Depends: libtk8.3.so
How would I resolve this? I have been looking around on the net for rpms for tck/tk (presuming this is what I need) and had no luck locating them. Is this what I need?
Anyone else is running Pd on FC2?
Many thanks
CHUN

You need to install the "-devel" packages for libtcl and libtk, maybe called something like tclXX-devel
You should be able to find those with the "--provides" option to rpm or similar, but I only know the Debian package tools well, so better try "man rpm" yourself.

Jamie is right, I got a simular problem on Mandrake, which is also a Red Hat derivate. My workaround is documented at
http://access.lowtech.org/e-gehirn/pdstart.html
it was necessary for my PD workshop I did in 2002 so its a bit outdated.
