hi there,
i need to share some wisdom :) as it took me some time to find out how to debug pd in gdb on osx when using hcs' application package.
the solution if found is that you have to install the wish shell directly in /applications. then the usual old style debugging of pd via
gdb /Applications/Pd-0.38-0test4-HCS.app/Contents/Resources/bin/pd
works again. the app still correctly finds the externals in the package and there is no need for anything in /usr/...
i do not know what tcl i am using now yet the app is far slower then when run out of the box. but that's worth for having backtrace.
maybe this is not interesting for anyone but at least it is documented in the mailing list archives now. martin

This stuff is always helpful. It would be great to have a mini-HOWTO on how to do this. (hint hint ;)
