i agree with you to an extent. pd has seen a lot of success and has
grown much from the time and effort of its users, but it's typically only used by a certain kind of techie person. i really think that pd could become more of a mainstream type of software in teaching, music production, and in art. this would only happen with a huge pouring-in of new users.
