Hi,
There is a new test release of Pda available from its new website at:
Note that you need the latest release of the familiar Linux distribution (0.8) for the iPaqs or of OpenZaurus (3.5.2) for Zauri.
it seems to work with the zaurus-sl5500, so you can add that to the list of supported hardware. (the "seems" is only here, because i couldn't hear anything, but that happens to be with every application; probably my speaker is broken...)
most of the (external) links on the homepage are broken, as they are written as relative links, which results in links like http://gige.xdv.org/pda/www.handhelds.org

and one more thing (this seems to be my own thread):
would it be possible to add PDa to the OpenEmbedded-build system ? (of course i could do it, but i don't have your experience as a software maintainer...;-))

Yeah, I thought about it, but its not high priority yet. I can put the bitbake files on the net though. They way tcl/tk is "fixed" is not optimal yet (just try to change the font and you will see). Have to find a better solution before uploading it. .. or maybe someone else is willing to maintain tcl/tk, we'll see.

thats cool. As long as it doesn crash and loads the testtone patch the only thing that can could go wrong is the sounddriver. But you are already half way through.

Yes, I noticed that, and I have fixed several of those already, obviously not in the FAQ, thanks for pointing that out.
