[fir~] is EXACTLY what I wished :)
hm - I don't this that an [fir~] is that good if you want to design EQs ... The standard EQs are normally designed with shelving and peak/notch filters (wich are a combination of allpass, so IIR filters ...) There are a lot of filters in the iemlib (e.g. hml_shelf~, ...) and I think Miller also described some filter-design methods in his book ...

Hi, apologize,
in effects the one which I try to make has only the visual apprence of a EQ. It is a sort of multi-band-filter Every slider can put a 0 a group of frequencies. The cildren can cancel groups of frequencies or can listen isolate portions of sound spectrum (like with the eraser on a design).
Not knowing as to call this kind of filter I have defined it EQ,
but I hope that you will apologize me, I am not a suond designaer :)
