Hi,
This is a little guitar tab editor and player for PD. It outputs MIDI notes (on and off).

A netpd version is coming soon. I would like comments on things that could be improved before I make the netpd version.
Hello, I've improved another version with a memory*, but it's not compatible anymore with version under pd-0.40 (, if it's really a problem, I might be able to fix it).
index with this object, like it could be done with something like [coll].
I think it's possible to extract each chord, each pattern, for copying-pasting, with this memory implantation. Some features could be added like:
It might be tricky, but it would be nice also to have:
And even more tricky, this editor would be perfect if it could import/export MIDI/TAB files.

This is a new version, with the changed added by patco and a few more : http://alexandre.quessy.net/pd/guitartab-0.3.tar.gz
We will need to put that in a cvs... But remember, the idea is to make a netpd patch.
Oh, by the way, please avoir Windows or Mac line ends in the text files. You know, UNIX end lines is the standard... Well mine, at least. ;-)

I like that lots. The yellow/orange fretboard seems just right and using it is obvious. Shame we cant hide abstraction names yet. Nice use of flashtime and color and an instructional example of list processing. I'll get to test it on a proper guitarist soon. Didn't have much luck with the load/save thing yet though, it saves a textfile which is empty even after you do a store then save (and consequently I cant verify recall). **good stuff**

Actually, you can hide the abstraction name with an appropriately placed canvas, IIRC.

I hope every pd user will be able to switch to a stable pd-0.40 version as soon as possible for having the possibility of hiding the canvas name, and simplifying the copying-pasting procedure.

if you port it to netpd, just use netpd's own statesaving system (or in other words, as soon as it is ported to netpd, it automatically has a state saving system)
