Hi,
I don't know but this could be a silly questions...
Why in my patch the video is recorded unprocessed (not in a circle) ?
Or even: Was is the best approach to record gem output to a Quicktime
movie?
Thanks for help, Achim
Because [pix_record] records pix_ domain. First, you have to pass the rendering in pix_ domain then capture it with [pix_record]. For that, the use of [pix_snap] could help. Send the message [codeclist( to [pix_record] to see which codec you can use. Then send [codec nameofthecodec( to [pix_record] before the record. ++

From your e-mail client i guess your platform is os x. IOhannes was working on this issue lately. for a quick fix of the color issue convert the colorsppace with [pix_yuv] just before [pix_record]
serach in the archive for a thread with the title "strange colors with pix_record"

Hi Max,
thank you for the patches. They are working just fine.
While testing a new question came up: How can I merge different render
chains (everything what is visual in the gemwin) for one pix_record
output?
Thanks in advance for helping me with this.

yes off-cause, take a close look at the patch record_audiovideo.pd it takes a snapshot of what's in the gemwin and records everything. you just have to consider the rendering order, read more about that in the help patch of gemhead. you'll notice that in the patch the snapshot taking has a gemhead 100, because the argument defines when this gemhead is happening in the render cycle.
