hi list. im on pd-0.37.1, gem-0.90, winxp. i'm playing with a dv cam with usb streaming on. when using with for instance windows movie maker, no probs. when using with GEM, applying [pix_video] or [pix_videoDS] forces pd to crash. does this mean that im forced to use 1394 dv port, because usb video streaming is not available in GEM yet? or is it something else which acts abnormal? thanx in advance daniel
Hi!
This pops up from time to time... There is a special Gem version 0.90.1 for Windows with working camera support. It is hidden in between the other 0.90.0 versions, so since most people take the gem-bin-doc-0.90.0.zip file they have crashing live video in.
The right Version should work: http://gem.iem.at/download/gem-bin-0.90.1.zip

ah, good to get a reminder from time to time...
i have now replaced the gem-bin-doc-0.90.0.zip (which is the package most w32-users download) by gem-bin-doc-0.90.1.zip, at least on gem.iem.at (sf to come)
