Hello , I do not know anything about pd and i installed several new and old xp versions and norton gave virus alert. It said program have a trojan. I dont know how to start it , my main interest is abstract freeform scores. Do pd create these scores after listening music or do we draw it .

this is a question which is quite often asked on the list. searching
the archives will reveal this.
answer: pd consists of two processes, comunicationg through a network
port. windows and some firewalls think this is a malicious activity.
it is necessary to allow this communication for pd to run.

See though the manual [1] to get an idea what Pd "does". When you get
Pd running, fx. from following Max' advice, go though the example Pd
patches (Pd files are often called patches, they end with ".pd") in
the help browser (go to the Help menu, then Browser).
