hello,
does anybody know about a software with which i can produce a realtime musical score ?
in the manner off: i start with an empty stave and write in realtime the notes into it, they "just" appear with a certain speed.
any hint would be of great help - thx
best

Hi,
i think you could hook up some program like denemo (a lilypond) frontend, or other notation software -in step edit mode- via midi. Problem is, they often do their own interpretation of the score, making it less readable at first sight.
I once did a RT-Score using Gem, though didn't use traditional notation, more a floating sequence of bars.
good luck,
Peter

I'm not sure what exactly you mean with this. Isn't this, what every Midi sequencer (like Cubase, MusE etc.) does?
Or are you more thinking about something like this: http://smc04.ircam.fr/scm04actes/P3.pdf
For this Pd's data structures have proven to be quite useful in the work of for example Orm Finnendahl (e.g. in his composition "grep"). The list archive also has some examples of note symbols realized as data structures.

Maybe a lylipond interface in Pd would be great ? It could be edited with denemo, for instance.
Otherwise, with a MIDI file interface, we could use rosegarden.
I have been thinking about this since a long time.

It's possible to draw scores with data structure.
It's not an easy task, but it has a better future than using
single plateform softwares like rosegarden or lillypond.
Some work has been done, and it's in attached file
