Hi all,
I've put "pd 0.26 patch 1" for linux on the web site, www.crca.ucsd.edu/~msp/software.html
to fix things for people whose audio drivers can't hack "GETISPACE"/ "GETOSPACE" ioctl calls. In the patched version, if you invoke either the "-frags" or "-fragsize" flag the audio buffer size is managed the old fashioned way. In this case, the "-audiobuf" flag is IGNORED; set audio buffering with frags and fragsize only.
If you don't invoke "-frags*" you get the (much better) functionality of 0.26.
The linux Pd distributions on my site are tested for redhat only; Debian users may have to change some paths and remake.
cheers Miller
ja, much better. ;) do the '"GETISPACE"/"GETOSPACE" ioctl calls.' work anywhere else than with the pci128 card? thks
