Greetings list,
Black Market here. I just installed PD on windows98. The only problem is that the audio out is all in bursts, not a steady tone at all. It goes "beep beeeeep beep". So basically it doesn't work. I tried some command line switches such as specifying which audio output device, but nothing. In the DOS window, it continuously prints "resynching audio".
What gives?

pd on Win98 is a marginally precarious endeavor to begin with; however, what you're talking about sounds like it might go away if you if you set the audio buffer size via it's command line switch to something quite large.

hi!
i don't know if there are any special tricks in win98, but win95 works good with the -noresync option. it prevents pd from resyncing audio.

Another pitfall is if your audio input and output devices are at different sample rates or out of sync!
