Hi all,
well, now it's patch 5. http://crca.ucsd.edu/~msp/Software...
Arrays and graphs got a better GUI; you can save arrays in the Pd patch and change name and size from the properties dialog. Several minor bug fixes too.

Hi,
I've got very out of date with PD, so I have a simple question; do I have to download and apply all these patches in order, to the root version (NT version), or is it enough simply to apply this latest one?

=> you don't have to apply anything : PD0.32patch5 contain all needed : precompile binairy (nt & linux) and source code.
Just download and enjoy...

Thanks to all those who explained things! I will download, install, and see what happens!

Hi list.
In NT version, Pd changes the fontsize of some old-patches(i.e created by older versions) smaller at 10.
I tried "-font 12" option but it does not solve this problem. Of course using FONT BOMB in edit menu can re-set the fontsize (and save it will fix this setting) but we must re-set all (sub-)patches. Are there any changes in the grammer of .pd file?
Does anyone have the same problem? And are there any solutions for this?
Thanks in advance. Uta.
Hi all,
I adjusted the font sizes so that they'd be almost the same in Linux vs. NT (so that the help windows and tutorials will be readable in NT, which they weren't before.) Before, 10 point and 12 point were actually the same size, I think. I'm sorry for the confusion and I hope I at least have it all stabilized now.
At any rate, the best thing to do is set all your patches to 12 point unless you really want microscopic fonts. Subpatches (the "regular" kind) will be reset when you reset a patch's font size, but abstractions have to be fixed separately (it's better to use "pd" subpatches unless you'll be using at least two identical copies of a patch for other reasons too.)
There's no file format change, but if you save a patch in "PATCH5" with arrays that save their values, earlier versions of Pd won't be able to restore the values.
