Can anybody help me work out how to automatically set permissions for my video4linux USB webcam device. If I modprobe "pwc" as root, it loads fine, but I still have to manually set permissions for myself to access /dev/video0 (and the actual /dev/v4l/video0 that /dev/video0 is a symlink to) as a user. Suggestions? I didn't seem to have this problem on my last setup...
derek
you can try editing /etc/security/console.perms
find and modify the v4l group
ciao, davide.
