Is there a message that can be sent load an abstraction at run-time? I'd like to build a patch consisting of a master list of the patches I'm working on, but I don't want all of them loaded at once when the master patch is opened, but only if I click on something to open a specific patch.

I visited this site (http://pd.iem.at/pdwiki/index.php?PdInternalMessages , which is great) and then, out of a misunderstanding (as i think), started to document the WikiWords appearing there, like symbol, gimme, float etc. It seems to be the case that pure text has been imported which contained some [...] words, resulting in a WikiWord interpretation.
Now, is it a good idea to document PureData notions as a glossary and inundate the Wiki database with non-wiki words? I'm not sure, so i have stopped my efforts for now...
best greetings, Thomas

No, I think this is a great idea in general. But of course, not every "gimme" should be interpreted as a Pd gimme, e.g. "gimme some time to fix that", but actually it is not. See for example: http://pd.iem.at/pdwiki/index.php?SandBox
So the gimmes on the InternalMessage page are actually marked up as things that might need documentation by the farsighted original author.
I only wonder, if the Pd-Wiki should not move over to pure-data.org somehow.

This should definitely be moved to pure-data.org. But instead of building new wiki-based sites, I think new stuff should be done in the Plone-style of making pages and publishing them. Its much more managable.

Thanks Frank. For anyone else, the site is actually pure-data.org, however, and I don't think it's the docs directory, but there's an article under "documentation".

(I was mailing through a heavily loaded ssh connection from far away, so every byte counted...)

Well, there's a link to the relevant Page in the Pd wiki under pure-data.org/docs. At least I thought I added that.

There is also the related pd-msg patches in CVS. These are included in the latest MacOS X and Windows installers under docs/7.stuff.
