Hello!
I can't seem to manage to get both devices on my SB PCI128 (ens1370) to work. The card has two output devices C0D0p and C0D1p and one input device C0D0c.
How can I tell pd to use both hw:0,0 and hw:0,1 devices?
-soundindev, -soundoutdev, -inchannels and outchannels don't help. Or I haven't found the right combination yet.
Thanks and take care,
Miha...
hi as far as i know, the PCI 128 has only one analogue stereo output !? marius.

ens1370 (rev 01) has two stereo outputs (gren and black), but I haven't managed to get them working yet. But this is ALSA, not a pd issue.
Take care,
Miha...
PS if anybody has them both working please mail me privately. Thanks.
I think Pd only deals with one ALSA device at a time (there's multi-device support by Iohannes in the OSS code though.)
Perhaps ALSA allows you to emulate OSS for two devices, but historically they've only been willing to emulate one OSS 2-channel device.
It would be nice if Pd could open multiple ALSA devices in the way that the Iohannes patch allows for OSS, but ALSA is still such a moving target that it doesn't seem worth trying to do anything complicated with it yet.
