Can the Pd manual be released under some reasonable documentation license? I don't even see a (C)!
Good idea... it's covered (I think) under Pd's copyright which is in the README file, but I should probably also put it in the HTML table of contents.

Doesn't this text in LICENSE.txt cover the manual, too:
"This software is copyrighted by Miller Puckette and others. The following terms apply to all files associated with the software unless explicitly disclaimed in individual files.
