Hi
I have been trying to get 8 channel output with PD on IRIX. The machine is a Onyx2 with ADAT I/O running IRIX 6.5.6. So far I am only able to use 4 channels with PD, since the system return an error message if I try to open all 8 channels. The 8 channels DO work with VSS (Vanilla Sound Server) but we need something that is a little more 'interactive' ;-)
Does anybody have experience with this type of hardware and PD? Is this problem related to PD? -or am I just missing a small - yet important - setting somewhere in the system setup?
TIA
Soeren
I've seen 8 channels come out of IRIX 6.x from Pd, although I have a different problem which is that input/output sync doesn't seem to work for digital I/O in Pd. So I would suggest trying "-noadc" to see if anything goes better. I bet it won't. Anyway, I hope to get a day or 2 to test IRIX audio one more time before putting out the "real" 0.31.
cheers Miller

I had the same problem on my Octane running IRIX 6.5.5. The solulotion in my case was very simple, just recompile and relink all PD sources.
