alright
restarted then same deal. this is peculiar. the laptop's cam still works this is windows. the reset button was on the camera. restarted the camera several times. tried opening the camera in windows movie maker. said unknown error when i tried selecting 'capture video' in the file menu. then the list of devices opened, the camera wasnt there, only the laptop's built in camera. restarted, the unknown error was gone (probably triggered since pd was open or just closed), but still only the laptop's built in camera was available for use (other one didnt show up)
last weekend i used the camera on my mac desktop (with success). since then, i hadnt updated pd. like 4 minutes ago, i transfered the camera to the mac once again. now, when turning render on, the screen is all green. console's readings:
pix_videoDarwin: height 320 width 240 pix_videoDarwin: could not make new SG channnel pix_videoDarwin: could not set SG ChannelBounds pix_videoDarwin: could not set SG ChannelUsage pix_videoDarwin: set SG NormalQuality pix_videoDarwin: Using YUV GemwinMac: width - 400 height - 400 GemWindow Activate err = 0 GEM: Start rendering pix_texture: not using client storage pix_texture: not using client storage error: pix_videoDarwin: no method for 'device' ... you might be able to track this down from the Find menu. error: enumerate not supported on this OS error: pix_videoDarwin: no method for 'channel' error: pix_videoDarwin: no method for 'mode' pix_videoDarwin: colorspace is GL_RGBA 32993 error: enumerate not supported on this OS GEM: Stop rendering GEM: Start rendering pix_texture: not using client storage
