# Hi everybody, # I want to make a "dynamic" abstraction. With "dynamic" I mean that the patch of the abstraction will be built according to creation arguments. ie, the number of steps of a sequencer will be a variable. (I attached such a sequencer I made in "sampleAbstractionWithGOP.zip" But this example is static. It have 16 steps. I thought that making a new abstraction for every different step number is uncool.) # So I made a patch which creates another patch, with a variable number of toggles for steps. (attached in "dynpatch.zip") (I found the code for creating and connecting object in patch, in an PDDP tutorial. " 23.EXERCISE-hmmm.pd") But I couldn't figure out how to activate the Graph on Parent feature. And I wonder that whether there is another way than using this patch-creator for creating a seq. abstraction for a given number of steps and saving that automatically created patch and using it in an parent patch by typing its name. Is it possible to just typing something like [seq 9] and an abstraction with 9 steps is created in the parent patch? -ugur guney-
