hi,
just discovered a serious error with the [menubutton] object
(which is part of "TOF") on a recent OSX
PD: 0.50.0
OSX: 10.13.6
TOF: tof-v0-0extended (that's the only one available via "find
externals" ...)
on loading [menubutton]'s helppatch the object crashes PD, as it will
not be created and a Tcl/Tk error appears:
=======================================================================
menubutton v0.12 tof, based on popup by Ben Bogart and button by ggee
(Tcl) INVALID COMMAND NAME: invalid command name ".x50ccf0.c"
while executing
".x50ccf0.c create rectangle 26 538 158 560 -tags 50d820R -outline
"purple" "
("uplevel" body line 1)
invoked from within
"uplevel #0 $docmds"
=======================================================================
after that, PD then can no longer be used, because the following error
appears constantly on any mouse move ...
=======================================================================
.x100320920: no such object
=======================================================================
and has to be force shut.
funnily enough the [pmenu] object from the same TOF version works !

on windows (PD 0.50.0, win 7/64), no such error is happening, but
there's also a newer TOF version existing: tof[v0.2.1](Windows-amd64-32)

OSX machine (same TOF version)
i can't recall the OSX version though, it's been a year ago i used it.
iguess it was 10.11 ...

To Pd-announce:
Pd version 0.50-0 is available on http://msp.ucsd.edu/software.htm
or (source only) via github: https://github.com/pure-data/pure-data.
Several problems with zooming from 0.50test1 are fixed. There are numerous
reported bugs still, but no show-stoppers, and I'm way late getting this
out. So I'm putting off fixing many of them till the next release.
cheers
Miller

Depending on the loading mechanism, you might need to declare and call "coll_setup();" but Alex can probably tell you better.
