I've noticed you didn't reply to Lucas' mail: https://lists.puredata.info/pipermail/pd-list/2019-08/125829.html
what font is Pd using? are you using 64-bit Pd? if yes, can you try 32-bit and compare?

hi
i'm on Windows 10.
font & object boxes & windows show up significant smaller in 0.50 then
in 0.49.
how come?
and how to change without the command line?
rolf
This is on Linux.
It seems that if one starts Pd with a -font-size flag (e.g. -font-size
16), this will only affect canvas objects.
On the other hand setting the font size from the font menu in the Pd
window will only affect the Font size for the Pd window text itself and
all menus.
Finally setting the font size from the font menu in a patch window will
(only) set the font for canvas objects for that ans subsequent patches.
Is there a start-up (or preferences) way to set the same font size for
all of Pd window, menus _and_ objects?
Lorenzo.
hi !
IOhannes, i think this is for you ... sorry to bug you once more ...
i just noticed a newly introduced error in IEMMATRIX that was no error
before ...
attached is a patch (an excerpt of the help patch for [mtx_.*]) that
used to work error-less with (old) version 0.2 of IEMMATRIX (deken's
version numbering is "iemmatrix-v0.2-20150529iem")
PD's console output is like this
======================================================================
iemmatrix 0.2
objects for manipulating 2d-matrices
(c) 2001-2015 iem
IOhannes m zmölnig
Thomas Musil
Franz Zotter
compiled May 29 2015 : 22:45:53
matrix:
2 0 0
0 4 0
0 0 6
======================================================================
with the newest version of IEMMATRIX (0.3.1) the same patch throws an
error message and doesn't work anymore:
======================================================================
iemmatrix 0.3.1
objects for manipulating 2d-matrices
(c) 2001-2015 iem
IOhannes m zmölnig

hi,
just discovered a serious error with the [menubutton] object
(which is part of "TOF") on a recent OSX
PD: 0.50.0
OSX: 10.13.6
TOF: tof-v0-0extended (that's the only one available via "find
externals" ...)
on loading [menubutton]'s helppatch the object crashes PD, as it will
not be created and a Tcl/Tk error appears:
=======================================================================
menubutton v0.12 tof, based on popup by Ben Bogart and button by ggee
(Tcl) INVALID COMMAND NAME: invalid command name ".x50ccf0.c"
while executing
".x50ccf0.c create rectangle 26 538 158 560 -tags 50d820R -outline
"purple" "
("uplevel" body line 1)
invoked from within
"uplevel #0 $docmds"
=======================================================================
after that, PD then can no longer be used, because the following error
appears constantly on any mouse move ...
=======================================================================
.x100320920: no such object
=======================================================================
and has to be force shut.
funnily enough the [pmenu] object from the same TOF version works !
_______________________________________________________________________
on windows (PD 0.50.0, win 7/64), no such error is happening, but
there's also a newer TOF version existing: tof[v0.2.1](Windows-amd64-32)

hi,
sorry, forgot to mention that this crash didn't happen with PD 0.48 on a
OSX machine (same TOF version)
i can't recall the OSX version though, it's been a year ago i used it.
iguess it was 10.11 ...

To Pd-announce:
Pd version 0.50-0 is available on http://msp.ucsd.edu/software.htm
or (source only) via github: https://github.com/pure-data/pure-data.
Several problems with zooming from 0.50test1 are fixed. There are numerous
reported bugs still, but no show-stoppers, and I'm way late getting this
out. So I'm putting off fixing many of them till the next release.
cheers
Miller
