Is it possible to integrate Pd with Ableton Live in a way similar to
Max4Live, as a Live/Pd user (newbie really) this will be a very important
issue in my work. As far as i know, Max4live includes many instruments that
can be opened up in a Max canvas (similar to Pd) environment for editing, as
well as allowing additional access to the inner workings of Live,
http://www.ableton.com/maxforlive. I just wanted to verify if there is (or
going to be) any movement to allow for such integration. i am already aware
of Jack for sending audio directly from pd to live and vice versa(not sure
about midi capabilities), but i'm refering to truly open possibilities that
this type of integration will allow.
Thanks,
Jeff

Actually, after searching through the list archives, I believe you did
think of it --

So, you know, kudos!

Hi everybody,
I don't know much about GEM, so I really appreciate any kind of help. Thanx!
Basically, I would like to get the video output (pd/GEM manipulated
live video) broadcasted live on the net.
Is this possible? Is there something like max's jit.qt.broadcast for
pd? Is a special server needed? How to get the stream embeded in a
webpage? With Quicktime or Realplayer plugin? Or should I consider a
completely different approach?
So many questions ;-)
Thank you! Best!

Hi,
I was wondering if there is a way to put a pd patch to play music on a
webiste. For example lets say i have a patch which produces a melody. Is it
possible to put this on a web site including the start/stop control?
Thank you.
I can't seem to open patches from the terminal in OS X (with pd-extended,
the second command works with vanilla). I try either:
/Applications/Pd-extended.app/Contents/Resources/bin/pd
~/pd/externals/incr/incr-help.pd
/Applications/Pd-extended.app/Contents/Resources/bin/pd -open
~/pd/externals/incr/incr-help.pd
without success.
It appears that current iteration of freeverb~ is susceptible to denormals
bug. Namely, feeding silence after sound hogs cpu (I chuckled by reading
Pd's CPU footprint which was in excess of 400%). Adding a tiniest amount of
DC bias inside Pd solves this but I wonder shouldn't this be simply added to
the freeverb c code instead?

i'd like to use some of the following:
http://zwizwa.be/pd/
however the default path that make and make install refer to are
/usr/local/lib/pd/
now i dont have any such folders - how do i modify this?
Hi list,
please try #09a with pd >= 0.42 (pd~) and see if the file opens for you.
you need iemlib and a soundfile .aiff and a movie .mov with the same name, eg
bassdrum.aiff
bassdrum .mov
here Gem can't load the movie because it doesn't find the file, allthough it is there.
verbose mode doesn't tell more.
hi
is there a spigot type of object that blocks numbers from a stream
unless the value is different than the previos one that arrived?
i just want to avoid reinventing the wheel... i am using pd extended
right now so if any library there has something like this it would be
nice to know.
btw. is there anywhere i can check this kind of things without asking the list?
thanks
