compiling ggee

rradical/pool crashing os x - w/ terminal output

Hi Again, I'm still trying to get rradical working in PD on OS X. It seems that something shortly after loading the pool object causes a crash. This happens on both the stadalone 0.38- test and in the shelled 0.37 versions. Here is what the terminal tells me: Welcome to Darwin! Mac OS X / Pd-0.38-0test7 / Path,Startup-Bugs

1. The 'square'-bug is still in Pd-0.38-0test7.app. If you write something into the 'File->Startup...' or 'File->Path...'-Dialogue input lines, one or more square-character(s) will be appended at the end of each line. Loading a library, etc. in this way do not work. 2. I cannot delete the stuff i typed into the Path/Startup-inputs. I start pd, delete each line, press 'Save all settings' and 'Apply' and 'OK'. When i restart pd, all the lines are still there. Wanted to use .pdrc instead of Startup/Path-inputs, but .pdrc is ignored, because of the malfunctioning Startup/Path-input fields. Where is the information of these inputs stored? I searched through ~/Library/ and /Library/ if i can find something. Nada. When i start pd with an other user-account, it works (no Startup/Path-contents, .pdrc accepted) thx, rainer. __ http://www.kohlberger.net/

list-insert

hi, im wondering if there exists a C external to do list inserts. i have tried niagara and glue and lister, and get the following problem: error: inlet: expected 'list' but got '1077q' nia2: 1077q 69 37 nia1: 17.415 ji 1077q can't be a float beacuse it is used as a recieve symbol..the 'expected list' seems odd, because lister helpfile says it doesnt care about type checking. ive tried adding a 'prepend list' and it seems to do nothing....

Movie players quality

Hi list, I first want to thanks all the developpers for their great job, specialy for GEM. It's really extraodinary ! I'm a newbee with GEM 0.90.1 and i work with windows XP pro on a pentium4 3ghz (fsb 800) with 1 Go of ram and an ATI 9600 (128 Mo). When i compare the same film in Windows media player or quicktime, and in pix_movie or pix_film exemples, there is a really degradation of the movie by GEM players. What can i do ? debugging on osx

hi there, i need to share some wisdom :) as it took me some time to find out how to debug pd in gdb on osx when using hcs' application package. the solution if found is that you have to install the wish shell directly in /applications. then the usual old style debugging of pd via gdb /Applications/Pd-0.38-0test4-HCS.app/Contents/Resources/bin/pd works again. the app still correctly finds the externals in the package and there is no need for anything in /usr/... i do not know what tcl i am using now yet the app is far slower then when run out of the box. but that's worth for having backtrace. maybe this is not interesting for anyone but at least it is documented in the mailing list archives now. martin attacksyour.net/pi
