Hi some,
Recently i used pd in generative approaches (e.g.: A patch to create
mixer array patches) and implemented a simple parameter substitution
external using flext:
- Right inlet accepts a list of symbols called parameters.
- Left inlet accepts lists and substitutes all occurences of &1, &2, ...
by the respective parameters.
- Result is written to the outlet.
(have a better one? wanna get my source? - email me)
BTW: Should the resulting symbols be converted to other types if
appropriate (float, $-variable, ...)?
This is what i can do now but i want more. *So my question is*:
Is there a regex substitution external out there? (i already know the
shell and python externals ;^)
Greetings

PS: exec pd,
zexy ld,
python, shell,
ruby, open-gl,
mixer,
sequencer,
load all your patches
map lots to hashes
is it really time to dare
computing audio nightmare
PPS: Not to be misunderstood: I consider these externals to be powerful
tools but i watch computation and memory efficiency closely, this
is why i prefered pd.
