hi, there is a small howto in the subpatch called "pd edit" of all GUI helpfiles. send a message like ;oldreceivename receive newreceivename be careful when saving patches, because always the receive-name, that you finally change to is saved. marius.

oh, but now i have one more question.. sorry for all these stupid emails.
there's a message in the list archives that talks about setting the send
and
receive of gui object using messages but it doesn't say how to do it.
does
anybody know how to do this? it would solve my problem perfectly. i'd
love
to be able to set the receive of a bang using a message.
thanks,

hi,
i have a [receive] in an abstraction. the abstraction has a number of creation arguments. i want to be able to name the receive using 2 arguments, for example [r $1-$2-foo]. is there any way to do
something
like
this? it's easy for [send] because of the message method of building
sends,
but how can i make the corresponding receive?
thanks.
