Actually, you're probably referring to the too-thin font rendering with Monaco on retina screens. I agree it's not very readable.
@Miller, can you look into including DejaVu Sans Mono with the OS X release? It *really* fixes this. There is a "dejavu" branch which only includes the font, no metrics changes.

Ok, that's because I was experimenting with flags, like "verbose", and also "Use standard extensions"... with the latter unchecked, I learn that you can't load help files.
But there's still the other thing I said, that it still "looks weird"
