Thanks, reinstalled from src.rpm. That did the trick.

I had this problem for a while. Get the latest PD rpm from Miller's site. If it doesn't work, recompile from the source rpm. -- Marc

Hi list, I'm experiencing a weird problem. I'm setting up a new computer and have
had
a hell of a time with it. It's got the NVIDIA nforce chipset and the
whole
process has been... well... different. So after a few days of mucking
about,
I finally have it up and running with KDE so the next step is to
download PD
and then start the whole audio config nonsense. But I can't even get
that
far. I downloaded and installed the PD rpm for Redhat (I'm running
Redhat
8.0), started PD up, selected file -> new from the window.... and
nothing
happens. I tried opening some of the help files and get the same thing, absolutely nada! I can't even quit pd from the file menu, I get the
prompt
"Really quit...", click yes and nothing happens.
Has anyone else experienced this and if so, where do I go from here?
Best regards, Pall Thayer
