Is tar available for Windows users?
Yes, every decent packer for Windows (WinZip, 7-zip etc.) also supports tar. But ideally this probably should be build into Pd, like a new filetype: *.pdt which is a tar-archive that gets unpacked by Pd when loading, and gets packed by Pd when saving a file as *.pdt
