Also, the Traktor audio 10 (small and cheap, but RCA in/outs only and 8 of the 10 inputs are RIAA equalized for phonographs.) Also, the Tascam and the Presonus line are both said to be "compliant" (i.e., vanila USB devices) and should work without any fiddling.

Only used on Ubuntu, but M-Audio Fastrack Ultra 8R is natively recognized with Jack on Ubuntu >= 10.10 Audio only, not MIDI, as far as I can remember.
