pd closes suddenly when gemwin is activated with pix_film in the gem chain. inlet/outlet of pix_film are okay. I've tried other basic objects (from basic examples) it seems okay. pix_film works very good with all avi codecs with Gem.dll from precedent extended version.
please post the exact information about Gem that is printed to the console, especially when creating the [pix_film] object. which version of QuickTime do you have installed? which version of DirectX do you have installed?

Hello,
This is the message when pix_film is created:
MAN::resetState entered pix_film:: directshow support handle 0 7EB4758 filmQT created pix_film:: quicktime support handle 1 7EB4908 handle 2 7EB49C0 handle 3 7EB4A60 handle 4 7EB4AF8 handle 5 7EB4B98 handle 6 7EB4C40
I am actually using QuickTime 6.5 Pro, and DirectX 9.0c.
Let me give some more, this is the message given by the Gem.dll which doesn't crash pd:
MAN::resetState entered pix_film:: avi support handle 0 7E44730 filmQT created pix_film:: quicktime support handle 1 7E447E8 handle 2 7E44898 handle 3 7E44930 handle 4 7E449C0 handle 5 7E44A58 handle 6 7E44AF8 GemMan: create window GLEW version 1.3.3 GEM: Start rendering GL: énumérant non valide GEM: Stop rendering
