PiDiP does this good.
BUT it is missing an OSX live input object (currently uses the V4L library)
this is an urgent programming task for PiDiP but it needs a mac developer to do it

In GEM under Linux, you will need to use the "pix_video" object and send a "driver 1" message. "driver 0" will use the analog capture > card.
which reminds me... some time ago i was lookin for an external to do something like e singer's cyclops for max. ie. take live video input, analyze it and output messages based on that input. doesnt have to be LIKE cyclops. just any other way to control pd stuff using video. cheerio
